On his way back to the Obama cabinet, Bill Richardson (NM) refuses to grant a pardon to Billy the Kid?

I don’t understand how he could be so calloused – do you?

After all, he’s been dead for more than a hundred years.

John and Elaine Mellencamp to Split After 18 Years

31.12.10

After 18 years of marriage, and 20 years as a couple, John and Elaine Mellencamp have decided to split.

It’s a sad ending to a year, and completely in the opposite direction of the numrous engagements and pregnancy announcements of late. John and Elaine Mellencamp met in 1991 when the then 23-year-old supermodel Elaine Irwin was hired to pose for the cover of Mellencamp’s “Whenever We Wanted” album. Fast forward to 10 weeks later, and the couple was engaged. The following September, they were wed

In a statement on Thursday, the couple said, via a spokesperson, “John and Elaine Mellencamp are proud of their 20 years together and are very happy with their accomplishments both as parents and as a family. They will continue to raise their two children in Indiana but have decided to call it a day as a couple.”

Mellencamp gained fame in the late 1970s and early 1980s under the stage name John Cougar. His early include “Hurts So Good” and “Jack and Diane.” Eventually, he began performing as John Cougar Mellencamp, and later dropped the name Cougar and began performing as John Mellencamp.

Mellencamp has five children in total from three marriages: They are Michelle from his first marriage to Priscilla Esterline (1970

I love this song! Takes me back. I’ll have to download it from iTunes and enjoy it again.

This is simply what I call a "short story" song. It’s a lot like the song by Harry Chapin entitled "Taxi" where a man driving a taxi picks up a fare and it’s an old girlfriend. She doesn’t even recognize him at first but finally does. He takes her home to her beautiful mansion, but realizes that she’s still not happy.

In this song by Fogelburg, he has run

Auld Lang Syne is a traditional song sung on New Year’s Eve after the stroke of midnight. The title literally means "old long since," which, in modern speech would be "good old days" or "back in the day." It was written (or written down at least) by Robert Burns in 1788. It’s a song about remembering the past and sharing those remembrances with good friends and family.

The Fogleberg song is reminiscent of the feeling. Thus the title.

Most definitely!!!

1) These are all very good and funny!
I want to say A…But Robin might, just so he can take the kids out on the field and start a ball game just to get their noses out of the books,

I also want to say C, but that is because it leaves more room for the Brewers, however they just might.

I can’t say D, because unlikely beyond reason…it would be sooooo cool!

So B- But that would be hilarious!

2) D

K a l e i d a s c o p e: Celtic Solar Lunar Wave Calendar 2011

Somewhere in the ocean, the Celts believed, was a magical island of peace and plenty ruled over by a king, BRES, or a FAIRY QUEEN, NIAMH of the Golden Hair, or occasionally MANANNAN MAC LIR, the sea god. The ISLAND appeared every seven years, usually in a different place, always in the west. Several islands off the west coast of Ireland laid strong and long-lasting; the land appears on medieval European maps as a real island, usually located off Ireland. When European sailors reached South America, they believed the rich lands there to be the mythological land of plenty; thus one of that continent’s major countries still bears the name of the Celtic magical island. The ancient Greeks recorded the existence of a people they called the Hyperboreans, a name meaning “beyond the north wind,” a semi-mythological people with magical powers. These peaceful vegetarians worshiped APOLLO, it was said, in a huge stone circular TEMPLE associated by some with STONEHENGE,…

Why doesn't The View have any female co-hosts from native-american, asian or hispanic background?

…when I watched Monday’s The View show on the internet this morning, the panel on stage consisted of 2 regular white co-hosts and 2 regular black co-hosts and a black guest co-host, Condoleezza Rice. Why are the 2 regular minority women co-hosts black? Aren’t there any qualified native-american, asian or hispanic woman to fill one of those co-host seats?

Because said women have no voice in this country ;) unfortunately

salishlady | Dec 07, 2010

There was an Asian gal that was on the View for many years. I can’t answer the question because only they know. What I can say is that the show is a joke for the most part. A bunch of emotional females that is serious one minute, and then talk about the most shallow thing the next.
J | Dec 07, 2010

I remember when that show first came out and how Barbara Walters said she wanted to have a diverse group of women for the show. It sounded like a great idea. Until I realized that her idea of diversity was a white woman, a black woman, an asian woman, and a jewish woman.

Just goes to show that ignorance runs high even among educated people like Barbara Walters. Obviously she didn’t think there were women of other races fit to be on her show. Otherwise she, just like much of white

all the Asians go to the news shows. and it not about being qualified, its an entertainment show, they have to be entertaining. however the only one who is entertaining on that show is joy behar.

Black Eyed Peas Recipe | United States Online News

Black Eyed Peas Recipe , Happy New year in advance, As we slide towards New Year’s Day, it’s time to think about the traditional foods to the ring in 2011. In the South, that means inviting black-eyed peas (no, no band Fergie) at the dinner table. A symbol of luck, the little black-eyed peas also goes perfectly with smoked ham, as in this recipe KitchenDaily contributor Ruth Cousineau, who offers to serve with cornbread and some fried green vegetables rich in such the cabbage. Hoppin John is the dish par excellence of the New Year, and use salt pork instead of ham.

After a few minutes to get a jar of Black Eyed Peas ready not only with the stomach that may have consumed a bit too bubbly, but for good luck. Black Eyed Peas was a classic New Years Day for good luck dish generations.

Get soundtracks for dance movies like Step Up (1, 2, 3D), You got served, Stomped the yard, etc. Think about some older songs as well, like "Get low" by Lil Jon, "Shake ya tail feather" by Nelly, Diddy and Murphy Lee, and some stuff from way way back like Chubby Checker’s "The twist"

PS Replay is sung by Iyaz (Sean Kingston and JR Rotem discovered him though)
Frank A | Aug 06, 2010

Teenage Dream- Katy Perry
Dynamite- Taio Cruz
Seventeen Forever- Metro Station
Ignorance- Paramore

Kinda depends what kind of dance I guess but…
-Lady Gaga is mostly good…she’s got a couple slow songs but most are upbeat, but you’ve got some of her already–Monster, Dance in the Dark, Alejandro, Pokerface, etc. (Album: The Fame/Fame Monster)
-Cobra Starship has some good head-banging, upbeat type songs ;) For example: Pete Wentz is the Only Reason We’re Famous, Living in the Sky With Diamonds, Wet Hot American Summer, Snakes on a Plane (Album: Hot Mess, While the City Sleeps
